The Gospel of the Kingdom of God
21st CENTURY UNDERSTANDING OF THE “GOSPEL”: Modernized Christianity has made the “gospel” message a matter of securing a guarantee of making it into heaven after we die.
In other words, the gospel has been “concocted” to become merely a message from God saying: “You are a sinner condemned to hell…unless you accept Jesus. Only those who accept Jesus will go to heaven.” The gospel has become merely a gift that is accepted and not obeyed.
21ST CENTURY UNDERSTANDING OF “THE KINGDOM OF GOD”: A generation of church-goers has been “born” out of this “gospel-guarantee” that has learned NOTHING of the “kingdom of God” or what living in subjection to its King is all about.
In other words, the “Kingdom of God” has been “concocted” to become merely something “inherited” rather than Someone obeyed!
There are certain prerequisites to being able to “see” and “experience” the Kingdom of God. However, most people sitting in churches today sit “stalled” in the “prerequisites” and so they neither see nor experience “Kingdom” life!
It is one thing to believe that you have a king ruling over you (yes, Jesus is King over God’s Kingdom and its subjects). It’s a whole ‘nuther thing to follow, obey, and serve your king.
As I have explored the Scriptures and related explorations on the subject of the Kingdom of God, I find that American Christians are dismally ill informed about “kingdom life” and about kingdom principles.
Here I will share insights of the “Gospel of the Kingdom of God” as God and His Holy Spirit teaches me.
- WHAT IS THE “GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM”
- WHAT IS NECESSARY FOR ONE “SEEING” THE KINGDOM
- WHAT THE KINGDOM IS NOT
- WHAT THE KINGDOM IS
